KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 9): The private sectors must voice out their concerns to the government of the impending price hikes, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said.
With the government reducing subsidies including for petrol and sugar, as well as the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST), Malaysians are fearing that they would be financially burden from the spillover effect.
The former prime minister said it was the duty of the business community to point it out as the government may not be aware of the situation faced by the private sector.
"They can send memorandums and meet with the government and explain their side," he said after appearing on RTM's 'Hello On Two', here this afternoon.
